The Cable-Red Adapter features a Male Barrel Plug with a reverse polarity connection. It can be used to connect a pedal with tip positive polarity to a power supply with a tip-negative output polarity.

The C-R offers the following features:

  • 1 x Female Barrel jack to connect to Power-All or other power source (C-M/MĀ &Ā C-BL Cable may be required to connect C-R to brick-style power supplies)
  • 1 x straight Male Barrel plug with reverse polarity to connect to pedals or other cables.
  • Spring-loaded male plugs to reduce chance of disconnection
  • 26-gauge Cable with oil-resistant vinyl sheath
  • 12ā€ (approx. 305 mm) Cable length between plugs
  • NEWĀ Lo-Proā„¢ PlugĀ design offers the smallest plug dimensions possible in order to save space on your pedalboard and to make connection to your pedals quick, easy and efficient
power-all low profile plug comparison

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Female Barrel Jack (1): 5.5 mm O.D.; 2.1 mm I.D.
  • Male Barrel Plug (1): 5.5 mm O.D.; 2.1 mm I.D.; 10 mm barrel length
  • Cable: 26-gauge, OFC with oil-resistant vinyl sheath
  • 12ā€ (approx. 305 mm) Cable length between plugs

TIPS:

  • Output polarity of C-Rā€™s Male Barrel Plug will be the opposite polarity of source connected to Female Barrel Jack (i.e. if source is tip-negative, then C-R output polarity will be tip-positive)
  • ConnectĀ C-M/MĀ Cable to C-Rā€™s Female Barrel Jack to connect to brick-style power supplies or other sources with Female Power Output Jacks
  • ConnectĀ Cable-RedĀ to female end of the C-R to reverse the output polarity of the Male Barrel plug
  • Connect Daisy-Chain, Y-Splitter, or Adaptor Cables to C-Rā€™s male Barrel Plug to power additional pedals* (note all pedals should have reverse polarity)
  • UseĀ C-Cap to cover unused Male Barrel Plug to prevent short-circuits

NOTE:

Some pedals that require tip-positive polarity at their power input are actually wired with a positive ground to chassis. Some examples of this are the Fuzz Face & Tonebender and many boutique pedals based on these designs.

Pedals with this ground configuration cannot be powered from a series power source (e.g. a Daisy Chain) along with pedals that have a negative ground to chassis.

In this case, theĀ GH-1 Ground HoundĀ could be used on the positive-ground pedal to allow it to be powered along with negative-ground to chassis pedals off the same Daisy Chain.

Please contact us atĀ info@godlyke.comĀ for more information on this issue.

*Sum of current draws of pedals used should not exceed maximum output current of Power Supply.
